TL;DR
- November 2024: our first electric slow feeder, for DF grinders.
- 2025: slower feeder discs, custom adapters, the Slow Feeder Pro with speed control, and the Brew Temperature Analyzer.
- November 2025: the Slow Feeder Metal.
- 2026: the Slow Feeder Ultra and Pro V2, metal adapters, an open-source Pro V1, and second place at the World Brewers Cup.
November 2024: a slow feeder for DF grinders

CremaLoop started with upgrades for DF grinders. Next we built an electric slow feeder that sits on top of the grinder and feeds the beans for you, so you no longer have to drop them in by hand. In November 2024 we opened a limited pre-order.
March 2025: slower discs and custom adapters
More and more people were slow feeding, and they wanted more control. We released feeder disc inserts with fewer, smaller holes. For an 18 g dose, the standard 8-hole disc took 20 to 30 seconds, the 4-hole insert 40 to 50 seconds, the 2-hole insert 80 to 90 seconds and the 1-hole insert 160 to 170 seconds.
We also started making custom adapters: if your grinder was not on the list, you sent us its details and we made a slow feeder to fit it.

April 2025: the Slow Feeder Pro with speed control
The Slow Feeder Pro added a dial to set the feed rate, from 18 g in about 30 seconds to 18 g in about 120 seconds, swappable bottom adapters and twice the battery life of the original. The original slow feeder stayed in the range at a lower price.

May 2025: Weber EG-1 and Niche Zero
By customer request, the Slow Feeder Pro became available for the Weber Workshops EG-1 and the Niche Zero. The EG-1 went on to become the most popular grinder among our Slow Feeder Metal customers.

June 2025: the Brew Temperature Analyzer
After a year of development, with guidance from Kaffeemacher, we launched the Brew Temperature Analyzer: a measuring basket that shows the real brew water temperature in your portafilter during a shot.

November 2025: the Slow Feeder Metal
We paused every other launch for six months to build the next generation: a machined aluminium body, a borosilicate glass container, a custom circuit board with an anti-stall routine, and a USB-C rechargeable battery.

May 2026: the Slow Feeder Ultra
The Metal's internals in a lighter 3D-printed body, with the same glass container, at a more accessible price.
June 2026: Pro V2, open source and the World Brewers Cup
- Slow Feeder Pro V2: the Ultra's internals with a 3D-printed bean container and a lid, as the lowest price way to start slow feeding.
- Pro V1 goes open source: free print files, parts list and build guide, plus an electronics kit.
- Metal adapters: machined adapters for the Weber Workshops EG-1 and the Lagom 01.
- World Brewers Cup: Simon Gautherin, the 2026 Australian Brewers Cup champion, finished second in Brussels with a Slow Feeder Metal in his routine.

What has not changed
Every slow feeder we make is designed in Switzerland, in Winterthur, by a small team. And we still build what you ask for: many of the steps above started with customer feedback.
