Slow Feeder Metal

Almost a game changer. Wait for next version.

This is a vast improvement to my workflow. I used to slow-feed manually and it was miserable. No more.

I can't say I'd recommend this in its current form; there are a few annoyances which mean you can't add your beans and forget:

- With rdt, the beans stick to the glass and metal and you have to coax the stragglers through.

- The speed dial goes from 0-9 but the slow feeder doesn't work below 4. At that speed, the feeder turns itself off before the whole dose is fed.

- Jamming is a common occurrence unfortunately, happening in about 1 in 5 times.

These are fairly minor in the grand scheme of things. For the price point, however, you wouldn't expect to have these problems.

the biggest impact in your coffee experience

everyone needs to try slow feeding. there is no item i own that has as much impact as the slow feeder. your average grind size will reduce dramatically while reducing fines. this opens up all the flavours of your beans and will amaze you.
I wasn't expecting much, I am now a convert and encourage everybody I speak to to try slow feeding, you will not be disappointed.

works great

works great, excellent build!

Love it

Love this. Makes a huge difference to the process, incredible build quality (metal one). Only thing is I wish is that auto switch off time could be shortened and that it could be slightly sped up.

Winner! Winner!

I've had my Slow Feeder Metal for a month or so and to my mind it's an absolute game changer.

It's by no means cheap, but what I can say in defense of the metal one is that it's heavy; it's robust and is extremely well engineered.

The guys at CremaLoop have knocked this one right out the park. Coupled with the Graph Coffee 58:46mm step-down basket and now their new 58:36mm step-down baskets, it yields a cleaner, sweeter, and more predictable coffee extraction.

You can see the Slow Feeder Metal in action in a short video I uploaded yesterday...

I would've undoubtedly given it five stars if it was a bit cheaper. Having said that, I was astonished at the awesome build quality.
