DF64 Gen 1 Low Retention Declumper and Chute
Chasing my dream of the perfect DF64, I have designed a declumper and chute combination. Quite a lot of engineering went into the development of these parts. This declumper is an upgrade to the one which was featured on Lance Hedricks youtube channel. It is superior in reducing static compared to the first version.
The main challenge of the DF64 is the stock declumper. The original silicon declumper facilitates regrinding which leads to non-uniformal coffee grounds and cloggs the grinder in the long run.
In order to tackle this challenge, two parts are needed.
1. On the one hand, the upgraded declumper which was inspired by the Mythos declumper and is cut out of a PET foil. It removes big clumps, static and the big open cross section area means low resistance and therefore lower retention.
2. The improved chute reduces dead space and removes channel corners by transitioning from a rectangular shape to a round one. This way fine coffee grounds are prevented from accumulating after the declumper and in the chute itself.
Depending on the humidity level of your location max. 1 spritz of RDT can be needed. In humid regions, the declumper can be even removed to get to almost no retention.
Installation: In order to install the declumper, the DF64 need to be opened (please check in youtube for tutorials). After the stock declumper and chute are removed, the same screws can be used to install the upgraded declumper and chute.

I printed this model but they didn't have PET-film at the hobby store, so I got Acetate film instead. It has similar properties, both mechanically and electrically and the result was great. No clogging and no static dust.
Its so good quality for 3d printing
Great addition to my df64 no grind loss!!
Great item for my df 64
Works perfectly easy to install and works far better than the stock declumper and chute
