Introducing our custom-designed Electric Slow Feeder for the Option-O Lagom P64 coffee grinder.
Compatible Coffee Grinders
- Option-O Lagom P64
The Electric Slow Feeder is manufactured using 3D printing technology, ensuring precision, durability, and a custom fit. It attaches securely to the metallic funnel with a precise, press-fit. A Single Dose Bellow can be attached above the slow feeder to minimize retention.
Important Note:
Currently, we run a Pre-Order for the Electric Slow Feeder PRO Version. The Electric Slow Feeder PRO comes with an additional adjustment knob to control the feeder disc revolution speed, resp. the bean feed rate. Have a look here: Link
Slower Disc
Every Electric Slow Feeder includes a Slower Disc, allowing you to further reduce the feed rate. This feature is perfect for those who want to fine-tune their grinding process and explore new possibilities. If more feed rate control is needed, please have a look at our Slow Feeder Disc Insert options.
Volume Capacity
The slow feeder can hold up to 25 grams of coffee. By adding the bean volume extender, the coffee bean feed can be increased up to 50 grams.
Battery
The Slow Feeder operates with a single AAA battery which can power the device for over 30h of feed time (resp. 1'800 coffee shots). The battery itself is NOT included to ensure smooth international shipping.
Why slow feeding matters:
- Better particle distribution: Enjoy a more precise grind with reduced fines.
- Enhanced flavor clarity: Bring out the true taste of your coffee beans.
Say goodbye to uneven grinds and hello to a whole new level of coffee perfection. For more details check out Lance Hedrick's video.

It enhance the grind quality of the Option-O standard burrs notificly. I use the slowest two hole disk on grinder speed 2. I love the result.
20250626 Update:
I received a new adapter for the P64 that tilts the slow feeder device back by 10 degrees relative to the P64’s lean angle. This upgrade resolves nearly all the issues I mentioned in my original review - only one minor problem remains.
The reduced lean angle ensures that all beans are picked up from the bottom reservoir without requiring manual intervention. Additionally, most beans that fall into the rotating disc’s slots are now successfully dropped into the chute, rather than falling out mid-way or cycling back down into the reservoir.
Since installing the new adapter, I’ve ground a dozen 15g doses and encountered only a single instance where two small beans got stuck (specifically while grinding tiny Ethiopian beans, no issues at all with normal sized beans). This marks a major improvement and has allowed me to comfortably step away from the coffee prep area during grinding (for example, to empty the dishwasher in the morning) rather than needing to stand watch to ensure each bean gets processed. I just need to listen for the sound of grinding; if it goes quiet too soon, I know to check for stuck beans. Fortunately, this only happens less than 10% of the time (and likely even less as I continue using it).
If I didn’t already own this version, I would consider the newer “Pro” model, which seems to feature additional design refinements to ensure each bean gets fed through, and adjustable speed control - both appealing upgrades. However, with this new adapter, the current model works well enough. I can now confidently recommend this device for use with the P64 (with the adapter), as it meaningfully improves the overall coffee-making experience.
One suggestion for improvement: redesign the adapter’s contact point with the grinder to be smaller in diameter and include a groove fitted with an o-ring. The device wasn’t particularly sleek to begin with, and the added backward tilt doesn’t help visually, so I prefer to remove it after each use. The original adapter became quite loose over time, and I expect this one may do the same within a few months . That said, it should be easy to DIY an o-ring solution if it eventually loses its grip.
Original review:
Got an original version for a P64, took over a month to deliver due to having been stuck in US customs for 3+ weeks after the tariff announcements jacked everything up. A new version was released during this time which seems to address some of the issues below:
Firstly, the adapter for the P64 retains the grinder’s overall lean/tilt angle. This seems to be just a tad too steep so a lot of the beans fall out of the slotted wheel before making it all the way counterclockwise to the chute. Solution is to stand in front of the grinder snd tilting this device backward which defeats the purpose of a device like this.
Secondly, the slots on the revolving wheel are too shallow so it often struggles to grab a bean from where they’re piled up at the bottom. The shallowness also contributes to the first issue noted above.
Thirdly, the slotted wheel is again too thin to have a downward angle on the “bottom” side of the slot. So a lot of the times, if/when a bean makes its way all the way to the chute, it doesn’t slide into the chute because it rests on the edge of the “bottom” edge of the slot then resumes the revolution back to the bottom.
Lastly, the chute opening is so small that beans sometimes get stuck and there doesn’t appear to be a fail safe/breaker mechanism built into the motor driver circuitry. So if a bean gets stuck, and you are not there to clear it fairly quickly, you risk burnout. So again, you kind of need to hang out nearby while the device is in use, which again, sort of defeats the purpose of a device like this.
If it was purchased off Amazon, I’d return it and buy the new version. Do NOT buy the original version, at least not for the P64.
This is a very good slow feeder. It is a good height that even with my tall Philos, slides under the counter. The seller has been responsive to questions and advice. Shipping time was reasonable. The unit feeds a a consistent rate. I chose the 2 hoke adaptor ring. By eliminating rdgri di g the super fines are minimized allowing a finer grind setting due to a more consistent grind size.
