Why a metal adapter
Every slow feeder needs an adapter that fits the opening of your grinder. Until now ours were 3D printed, which lets us support more than 40 grinders. For two grinders we wanted more: the Weber Workshops EG-1, the grinder our Slow Feeder Metal customers use most, and the Lagom 01.
The metal adapter is machined for a precise, solid fit, with a finish that matches the Slow Feeder Metal.
Harder than it looks
We have to be honest: machining a metal adapter for the EG-1 turned out to be about as hard as building the whole Slow Feeder Metal housing. Getting a perfect, rattle-free fit took far longer than we had hoped. It is finally ready, magnets included.
The Lagom 01, as used at the World Brewers Cup
The Lagom 01 is the grinder Simon Gautherin used with a Slow Feeder Metal when he finished second at the 2026 World Brewers Cup in Brussels. If you run a Lagom 01, you can now give your Slow Feeder Metal the same solid metal connection.

How to order
- New Slow Feeder Metal: choose "Weber Workshops EG-1 with Metal Adapter" or "Lagom 01 with Metal Adapter" as your grinder type.
- Already have a Slow Feeder Metal: order the metal adapter on its own and swap it for your 3D-printed one.
We machine these adapters in small batches, so each run is strictly limited. When a batch is gone, the next one takes time.
